Ok for weird( purely made-up ) NPC names....
How about '_'
Yashi, Ulurba, Demetrix, Naiyar, Ellyara, Gisrol, Agadola, Ymyrth, Mael, Belroth...

If there was a mage/ wizard option available (not that I want one, the current ones are good enough), then I'd go for:

I did a Cyrano de Bergerac one
Was hard not using gloves or armor just cloth and a fencing kind of sword

Most of the time we use a name generator.

Brimhaven has some hidden name meanings
