Cooking has come up many times. It is not as easy for us to implement this as you might think. So I will not say that it won't happen, but it is not a high priority.

I think it's easy to implement as an NPC, who will cook the meat for you for a fee, which is reasonably small, like 5 coins per meat piece. Then you can use existing engine features.

You can also implement grill itself as NPC with dialogue and a sprite of grill instead sprite of human. "You see a grill" "Cook 1 piece of meat", "Cook 5 pieces of meat", "Cook 10 pieces of meat", "Cook all pieces of meat you have" or something like that. NPCs can already exchange items with player, for example the potion maker in Fallhaven.

So I do not understand why implementing a grill would be more difficult than what the game already has.

It looks fairly easy indeed with an NPC as cook.
As long as you don't want creative menus, with red or green peppers, cherry on top, burning mead over it...

I think that either cook, or grill (which can, say, consume coals which you buy separately for cheap somewhere, such as from woodcutters) would be nice addition to the game, because as it stands now, it's easier to sell meat and get bonemeals instead most of time.
