So im here give you my grinding places or exp and gold farm based on my experience

For lvl 1-5

the rat cave (north of your house)

Note: the last grinding place on my list isnt final... as the game is still under development and the devs might add more grinding places in future updates

You can get a legendary ring in the gargoyle cave, but not an extraordinary weapon.

A high levels I like

The upper levels of Charwood mine. Lots of XP, and you can get a lot of Reinforced black axes, which sell for a lot of gp

Level 44 and still doing the Iqhan Cave near Loneford. It's easier than Blackwater enemies which block more often. In Iqhan Cave it's easily fast clear and huge so there is no problem with respawning enemies. No need to go back to bed in Loneford.

Will grind there as long as until I can effectively clear stronger enemies. For me it's more important to be able to hit and kill fast.

Probably even level 36+ Iqhan Cave is great for HP/Exp ratio. Until you can do graveyard or something else which I heard is good. Remgard enemies contain high hp and high block enemies which takes more time to kill.

I think, the best area to farm for gold for high levels is Charwood settlement and upper levels of the mine. Goblins drop maces and black axes, also bleeding wound ointments which are rather expensive, they are easy to kill and give quite a bit of XP. However, creatures on the lower levels are immune to crit and drop only empty vials so they are not so good to grind on.

I like the thread. But lots of guessing and personal preferences.

How about we add some figures?

Just doing 15 min grinding sessions, noting down XP progression.

1) Iquan Cave, end

Was 40.200ish XP. Iqhans.
That's 160.000 per hour.

2) Way between Iquans and Mountains towards Remgard

Was 52.100ish XP. Izthiels and lizards.
That's 200.000 per hour.

3) Way towards Remgard, between plaguestriders and Remgard

Was 35.000ish XP. Manoit and Mountain Brute. Manoits had faster XP.
That's 140.000 per hour.

4) Green Maze between the snakes and Hirathil

Was 61.000ish XP. Morkin and Khakin.
That's 244.000 per hour.

5) Cave system just before Lodar

Was 37.000ish XP. Hirathil
That's 148.000 per hour.

For me, the 4 Green Maze was fastest so far.

In 2 and 4 I can go in guns blazing, smacking and whacking without taking much care or saving often.
In areas 1, 3 and 5 I need to be more carefull with my current char, save more often, load every now end then when I die, which slows down progress.
With more damage output and/or more block, things might change
With my recordings and experience so far, I'd suggest 2 and 4, if you struggle and need to take it slow in the other areas.

45+ Arulir area

Flagstone Prison is good for XP purposes. Approx 5000 XP in just one visit.
Plus the monsters drop health potions (+10) which doesn't happen in other areas of grinding. It helps a lot to clear the entire prison withoit worrying about health esp. if you're trying w/o regen.
