Help Section Update!

sorry, it's been too long...

i just (accidentally) posted this in a restricted thread,
but i want input from everyone - not just contributors.

wow. a lot of time has passed...

i am finishing up making adjustments to the Authors Section & about to add more to the Help Section.
it needs to be more robust & i have some ideas about what to add...

- let players know about the box in your house
- skills every 4 levels
- basic information about the Rare & Legegndary drops (maybe not?)
- warn about XP loss upon death

[ i have more, just giving you examples ]

anyone else have ideas about what we can add to help our new players?

Wow no, I for one have never looked at that what's on there now seems to be pretty much self-explanatory once you've played for two minutes. Would be great if you updated it to make it actually useful! But my mind's blank as to what exactly should be added, sorry...

If I remember correctly the whole reason we put it in was because we were getting those types of questions here a lot. So maybe there are some new questions that get posted here often which we could add to it.

Adding something about skills might be a good idea. There's a lot of questions about what skills to take. We couldn't make any specific recommendations, but we could give some general advice, even if it's only "you get one new skill every 4 levels. Choose wisely! Note that some skills are necessary to get higher level skills. You do not have to spend a skill point immediately. It will not go away, so if you are not sure you can save the decision for later"

agreed. im almost done going through every page of the Questions thread & really that's probably the most common topic. that, and people restarting because they were unhappy with the skills that they took earlier in the game.

Yes, I agree about the skill choices. What about a blurb about the game being a work in progress? I see lots of questions about not being able to get to certain areas.

there is a toast the very first time you open the app...
but that should be expanded upon - great suggestion! (and reminder)
