Venemous Dagger and Villian's Blade

What makes the Venemous dagger an Extraordinary item, when the Villian's Blade is so much better and it is not an "Extaordinary" weapon? The Villain's Blade is the same basic weapon with better stats in attack and crit dmg.

probably because it's free, and you can get it very early?

most likely cause it's a drop...

The Venemous Dagger used to alot more powerful than it is today, but since it is dropped so early in the game it was decided to lower the stats of it, The Dagger Of The Shadow Priest is pretty much the same thing as what the Venemous Dagger used to be (if i remember correctly)

Here are the current stats for the weapons in question:
Venomous Dagger: (Extraordinary)
AP: 4
AC: 10%
AD: 1-2
CHS: 5
CM: 2.0

Villian's Blade: (Normal)
AP: 4
AC: 20%
AD: 1-2
CHS: 5
CM: 3.0

Dagger of the Shadow Priest: (Extraordinary)
AP: 4
AC: 20%
AD: 1-2
CHS: 20
CM: 3.0

It was an update ago or two. It made me happy because i had sold the venomous dagger at the begining of the game on my main and had no chance to get it back, so when the Dagger of the Shadow Priest came out i gotta admit i jumped for joy a bit.

I have no room to tease otherwise i would be the pot calling the kettle black. :p

Ahh, it all becomes so clear... (except for the trees)

Something else should be done with it then, say make it normal, the Villain's blade rare, and leave the last one the way it is. Just to avoid confusion, stuff like that drives me nuts, lol. Not gonna be high on the update list, though.

this is a good note to take though,
i'm pretty sure the Venomous Dagger was the only instance that was this severe...
i could see Oskar changing this when he changes the Item Types.

So, I've been searching the forums on the quest line for getting the Dagger of the Shadow Priest that was mentioned (since it seems like exactly the type of weapon I'm looking for, being rogue-like), but I can't find quest help for it anywhere. Would give me something to work toward. Could someone point me in the right direction, like who begins the quest and where?
