If I drop a random item on each of the spawn points in a single room...
When I kill all the mobs, does the room stay empty until I leave?
Or, can they respawn through the bag?
Being low level always makes me brainstorm...

That is a very interesting question... I would think they would respawn, but that depends on whether the game engine treats items on the map differently than pc/mobs

From the looks of the map editor tutorial page, since items and spawn point locations are considered separate layers, I would say that no, dropping items would not prevent spawns. However, feel free to test that theory

You may only block the spawns with your hero.
If we go multiplayer something like this could be done.

The things that restrict where monsters cannot spawn are:
- Other monsters
- The player
- Tiles that are not walkable
- Tiles that belong to a mapchange area
