Which one of these types of shadow look better?

In this case, the left one, but normally right is the style to go with.
Its about where the lightning is coming from and since we only have daytime light, then I assume this means the "sun is high".

i think it can vary a little depending on the context, you can use both to represent maybe different elevations a little, or different slopes, i think it comes down to what looks good on the map.
