We could. I don't know that my theoretical player can. Let's face it, if he has so much gold that he can buy his fill of BMPs for that day AND buy a ton of regular big potions, how in need of potions is he really going to be? I used about 3-4k BMP since the update and I've killed approximately 13-14 million experience worth of creatures. You'll NEVER be able to do that if they're limited. If "tough rocks for anyone joining the game late" is an acceptable situation, I guess what I'm saying means nothing. This may all be a moot point though gentlemen, we still don't know what kind of punishment will befall us later in the game for using this sinfully decadent solution...

I agree with you on this one Chest, it wouldnt be fair to players who dont play as often and to the newer players who would never get the chance to stock up like we have (currently have 5k+ on stock)

Life is not fair.
IMO its not about what previous versions had been like. Its about what would be best for the final release.
Do you have any better ideas? (limiting without annoyance - or something else)
I know we asked Oskar, if he would raise the amount of BMP available, but he declined. So AFAIK it should be limited. (However most of us use an exploit to buy them quickly.)

in the beginning you give him five bones, and this allows him to make X amount of potions.
once you deplete his stash he will require more supplies.
x = 50? IDK, whatever number maintains (the ever important) balance.
if regular potions can sell out, go to other towns...
but have them restocked somewhat quickly.
longer than an hour, might be too tedious...
then again, there is always meat!

I suggested this on at least 2 occasions , and I expected this when completing that request and was shocked/disappointed when it wasn't the case.

Costing more bones would be fine, but like I said, this all may be a moot point once monsters get way tougher.

I remeber seeing your suggestion before, i was also surprized they didnt change it to require more bones (which wouldnt be hard to harvest)
I really think this would be the best solution
5 bones per 10 BMP or something simular to this.

If there are only so many bonemeal potions available per day, then that many should be added to the supply even if they are not bought. Then players that only get the chance to play every few days could buy the 2-3-7 days supply at one time, which would at least let them keep up with their current comrades, even if not with us longer-time players. There should probably be a 1 or 2 week limit on the supply accumulation.
I also wondered whether I would have to keep supplying bones to get more potions, and that was a scary prospect at the time. The haunted house was easy enough, but those 5 rabid foxes were no joke. I think the 5 bones should last for at least 50 potions, maybe 100. Bones were hard to come by back then.

+1 well said! (and thought out)
no limit at all would be fine with me...
but it seems we may not be that lucky.
