I think the largest resistance you are going to get regarding this idea is the servers.
Oskar has indicated that the idea is to keep the game free and user built.
The idea of requiring servers will incur a cost. A cost that no doubt players may be willing to pay but a cost that goes against what Oskar has been trying to accomplish.
Please do not think that anyone is trying to squash your creativity. Your idea may lead to another, better idea that can be implimented.
This one, however does not look like it can be implimented under the current gaming scheme.

I see that. It makes sense if his wish is to remain free, but the new game plus is the focus of the topic. Don't really care all that much about the online capabilities as I do long term replay value.

So then are you talking more like the original Mario game where after you beat it the first time all of the goombas turned to buzzy beetles and there were randomly placed billy bullets but you could continue to play after you saved the princess?

That is correct sir! The enemies wouldn't change they would only be harder and give more gold and xp.

I believe that your idea would have gotten a much better reception had it been clear that it was for after the game was finished, not for keeping people occupied between updates on the way to finishing, The endless dungeon was proposed for occupation between updates, and you presented your idea as an alternative to that.

Yes. In hind sight, it appears many of the other players assumed it would be something you could do at anytime and I assumed it would evident by the description. But again, it is proposed as a solution to grinding in between updates. I like it better than endless dungeon because new content added is available to replay on your character without forcing you to delete and begin over, forfeiting your work thus far. And the new game comes with added difficulty, experience, and loot.
Removes grinding and emphasizes story and quests.
I hope it gets implemented

Heh, well back to support your ideas
I do not agree AT has tremendous replayability, actually the opposit... so let's get some of these ideas started!

Andor's Trail DOES to have replay value. I have 6 games going right now and everyone is different build.
I have a critical hit build, a defensive build, a Blackwater build, a quickstrike build, high ac build...
So don't tell me it has no repeatability!!!

I can tell you anything I want, but no. The game has a lot of replayability. You can replay as a new build, or to side with different sides during quests. Or just to start over, although I do think the forums keep me enthralled with this game, and adds to its replay value. But I digress, we are getting off topic here (like always), back to new game+ .
I like the idea of a hard mode, but the newgame+ idea doesn't quite hit the right buttons with me. It seems like a lot of programming work for something like that. But I do like some of the suggestions in this thread that could be used to improve other ideas.
