Welcome to the game and the forum, Rhybek. The combat speed skills are the best way besides the jewel of Fallhaven to lower attack ap to get more swings. Unfortunately, there are many good places to put those early skill points, but they also come quickly, compared to later in the game. Good luck with your game progress.

any1 here tried the Balanced steel sword
AC 32%
AD 3-7
AP 4

gives good AD if you want to kill those trainers and masters in just 1 hit in gargoyle caves

I like the fact that the balanced steel sword has 8% more AC than the steel sword. So, if I combine that with the wooden defender from the same merchant, I actually have my steel sword back, with 14% BC and 1 DR for free. That's great for builds that have no access to that fabled dagger - like low level questing!

currently in gargoyle caves i m equipped with balanced steel sword ,wooden defender, irogotu's necklace,hardened leather shirt and gloves of swift attack.
which gives me 3 DR and enough AD and AC to kill them in 1 shot.

No they do not stack, you can equip them all & only have bw misery once

I think most of us have tried it, and didn't like the results. Maybe you will. We are all still hoping there will be a cure in the future, but I'm not holding my breath. Ooh, I just thought of something. Someone else mentioned in another thread about combined effects from wearing all of one 'type' of item. What if BW gear got 2 different rings later in the game (maybe quest items) that if worn along with all other items it would not cause Misery? The stats would be amazingly awesome, but you wouldn't get to wear any LorE items...

the best i could find for me is :
HP: 98
AP:3/12
AC: 223%
AD: 32-38
CC: -55% lol
BC: 62%
DR: 2
also,
On target: 50% chances of weak poison(5 rounds)

i like the BC cause normally its very low for me.
i used:
Backwater leather cap
Backwater leather armour
Jewel of Fallhaven
Backwater poisoned Dagger
2x villains ring
Fine gloves of Swift attack
Vacor's boots of attack
Wooden Defender


u can swap the villains ring for +6 damage but then AC is lowered.
thats the best i could find from blackwater equipments.
