currently have 78 small rocks. previously sold off approximately 550 if memory serves me correctly.

kinda worried about the few times while grinding i died and out of habit reloaded without checking my inventory....
could i have got one and not known??? :shock:

If you have the loot box set to display, it is not likely that you missed the ring. If it is set to no display, I suppose it is possible that you got it and never knew it, but IMO it is much more likely that you just didn't get one yet. 628 is not really a large number of rocks.

if you did get one, wouldn't it be unsellable, as some of the other objects i've picked up are? (shadow of the slayer, ring of shadow embrace)

that is correct, you can not sell the RoLS.

good. i go long stretches between trips to town, and i'd hate to sell one off out of carelessness. i don't use the loot notification box. but now that i'm actively grinding for the thing, i guess i'll be keeping a closer eye on my inventory.

I sold all my small rocks leading up to v.0.6.10 so that I could get a new count after leveling up the Magic Finder skill. But I'm not currently attempting for the RoLS so good luck to all those running for President of the club.

No, Stoodge could not have sold the ring, but he was worried that he had gotten it without knowing it, then died and reloaded from a save from before he got it. It is indeed possible to lose one of the e or l items if you do that. At one point well into my grind I was worried that one the monsters that killed me had been carrying the ring, and that was my 1/10,000 shot and I had missed it. Then I saw a post from Oscar that drop items are determined after the monsters are killed, not before. So that is one thing less for grinders to worry about.

Didn't know this thread was here. Kinda odd as Interim President of the Too Cool for a RoLS Club... I have over 2,800 rocks and am currently making runs there in small doses now. (I tried to just stay there and grind, but, as I said, it made me want to drink all 54 of my weak poison potions then stab myself 6 times with the Quickstrike Dagger before I had time to retaliate against myself.) I will bestow the Presidency on someone more deserving than me, or someone barely deserving at all if I totally give up going to that wretched place.
