I tried using quick strike dagger and shield and and realised that one of the most important thing is how much time you spend fighting, because 6 strikes per round is just too much to grind anything, or even for just regular gameplay. My next play through will be probably dual wield mace for 6 point attacks or two handed weapon.

When many weak monsters attack you, like the dung flies in the green maze, then quick weapons can be better.
But I agree to your point. For the same reason I like e.g. the great axe Shadow of the Slayer
