Why can't monk players use spiked gloves? I'm pretty sure you can still do kungfu n stuff with a glove on your hand. Seems like a missed opportunity to me

Because they are a weapon.
But don't worry, your monk is already extremely powerful w/o those "gloves".

There were loads of talks about upgrading Monk, this would be the ideal way to do it, it seems as it was in the begging meant to do that. It is very confusing, thought the monk will finally get an item. Instead it is just waste item this way. Any thoughts on making it viable for monk?

And I holes that this is first time you get monk only thing, real bummer...

The monk build is extremely powerful. Almost too powerful if you ask me.

There's no such thing as "a monk only thing" when it comes to items. Due to limitations to the game engine, we cannot provide you an item that can only be used by players that do not have a weapon or armor.

We have no concept of a monk builds by the way.
There is no such thing as a monk build/type/character/class.
The way of the monk is just a fun skill name for those who choose not to use a weapon or armor.
