Hi,
I have the following issue: The game freezes as soon as I attack any monster. Its independent of combat speed, monster type or weapon equipped.

Did you try to play a new game, does the freeze occur there too?
If so - did you try Fischer's idea? (for safety export your savegames first)

Thanks Fischer and Nut for your kind support. A clean reinstall finally fixed it for me. However, only when all game data was cleared during uninstall.
I had my savegames backed up and then restored after the reinstall. Combats working fine again now.

Also I just noticed that the dialogues of Gison's Son and Remgard Tavern Keeper are the same when you ask them to cook 20 meat. Not sure if the innkeeper is a meat lover.

Sobby himself has given a hint, you just have to read carefully.

Anyway... Still can't find how to start in the village (is there something about the well ? It says something when you drop rotten meat.. that's the only interaction in the village)

Is your inventory really that sparse in that all you can throw is meat?

I carry a lot of stuff. Mostly weapons, armour and stuff which I think could be important. On the other hand I sell a lot of unimportant stuff so I can buy bonemeal.

I've only been given the option to drop gems, boots, coins, and rotten meat in the well so far. He seems to only like gems but i don't seem to have the right ones. Rather than going over the entire world again, killing everything and hoping the right thing is dropped, can i get a hint for which monster/animal i should attack to get the correct object to drop in the well??
