With so many new quests, I'm already at level 46 (permadeath) and haven't even gone to see Lodar yet (!)

I'm enjoying the new Laeroth quests. I've completed 5 of them. and was partway through the Coin Collector when today's 1-hour timer ran out.

I'm in an awkward position b/c I can't save and restore to experiment, and don't want to risk another permadeath character. The isolated man with the hounds won't tell me anything about the

Should I keep looking for a way for fight it safely, or is that something for a later release?
