I slept in Lodar's bed, and now I can't buy supplements to continue the cave
my game is a single save, and when I die I wake up in Lodar's bed
I would like to somehow return to the city to buy supplements and continue the game.
As it is, all I can do is die infinitely
We have a new Beta: v0.8.13 ("Troubling Times") !

Re: trapped in lodar's house
I recommend killing as many of the ghost things as you can, then return to bed before you die. Repeat that process until you level up / farm whatever valuables they drop so that you can buy potions.
There is a "shortcut" back to the rest of the game, but while it is shorter, the aggressive monsters are not easier. If anything, it might be easier to survive by taking the longer route.
Since I am not a developer, I am not able to add an easier shortcut to the game in order to help players like you.
Therefore, I just recommend you farm the monsters for xp until you are able to survive getting back out of the area.

Re: trapped in lodar's house
Regeneration is a valuable skill, so, if you manage to farm enough exp to level up, that skill may help to get out of the cave without too many potions.

Re: trapped in lodar's house
I would run past the ghosts as much as possible and fight as least as possible. Make sense??? That's how I did it

My solution: always play permadeath. That way, you never get stuck somewhere after sleeping in the wrong bed, because the first time you die the game's over.

But also, I agree with the previous poster. Until your character is powerful enough to kill at least some of the ghosts with a single hit, you're better off avoiding them, or fleeing if one attacks than trying to fight them.
And don't get too dependent on healing potions — they lead you into situations that your character isn't ready for yet. IMO they should be for emergency use, not your strategy for getting through a cave or quest.

That's an interesting approach.Canuck wrote: Sat Jun 01, 2024 10:54 pm My solution: always play permadeath. That way, you never get stuck somewhere after sleeping in the wrong bed, because the first time you die the game's over.![]()
