You need to complete "Another Ruthless Crackshot" first.
If you have before 0.8.6(Haunted Forest version) you need to go back to Mayor Ale. Talk to his assistant too (not required, but informative)

Choose a different path of dialogues, instead of killing the Witch. Then sleep on a bed. Return to the cottage, but instead of entering, explore the environs.

Fdroid still claims, there is some code in andors trail which is non-free and exclusively licensed to AT…

The code is fine. It's due to the use of non-free assets, some of the images being licensed.
