I quit the game for over a year because of Climbing Up is Forbidden

I could not figure out how to progress past this point, so I stopped playing. I thought it might have been a bug that would be fixed in a future version. However, I returned today, and this does not seem to be the case.

Why exactly will it not let me take the water? I have empty bottles and several vials.

Thank you for your help. I appreciate it. If only I knew how to code so that I could contribute.

P.S. one last thing- f-droid says this game is licensed under gpl-2.0 open-source license, but it also says there is an anti-feature of non-free assets. What exactly are the non-free assets? Thank you.

You need to use the empty bottles from the fallhaven potion maker

Because that's how the game engine works. The author of the quest had to make a decision on which bottles satisfy the requirements of the quest. The game engine doesn't support dynamic choices like being able to use any single bottle that's in the game

You need

Large bottle water

to fill that cold water because the npc need a large one, not medium. To gain that bottle, you need to clear a quest in Brimhaven. What's a quest? No, i don't spoil , so goodluck

Well, you can bring two in different bottles

Sadly the water can't be drinkable and as healing item but just a quest item

If you collect enough water to satisfy the quests whatever is left over, you can drink
