Stuck in Elm mine then stuck out

Hi

first. thanks for this wonderful game!

and now my problem.

i succeeded getting into elm mine and even beat the enemies and the general told me to join him outside.

but I could not get out!

i was going around grinding points until the next levelup and then commited suicide i.e. let the monsters kill my hero and i was out.

but then i wanted to enter the mine again and i cannot.

i think maybe i had to go round the mine until i did find some gate. the upper chamber was all blocked and the same trying to get inside.

so, was there a way out?

and is there a way back in?

(i played on and leveled up a lot and possibly dont even have the original save from there and then)

You probably didn't save it after finishing the quest that unlocks that mine...actually I'm trying to get into that mine too and was given some good advice in this thread:

I got into the mines, but all tunnels are too dark or unsafe.
Those Feygard soldiers must have blocked the way into the deep of the mone, and that general.
I don't trust those Feygards. I will let you know if I manage to get through.

I also need some help with the Elm mine. I've been through the whole mine and now I want to leave it, but I can't get out because the tunnels are too dark or too dangerous. Is there a trick I've forgotten? I can't remember how I got in because I haven't played for over a year. Thanks in advance

Do you mean you want to pass a short tunnel where you are not visible and get this message in there?

Just try to go on after you get this message.
