Weapon and shield

I have once again started playing new game and it will last for a while. In previous playthroughs I always ended up with dual wield with daggers or RoL. This time I have been thinking using shield but regret it and will try crit build with perhaps Iron Flai + Iron Flai or one weapon with 3x crit multiplier. Maybe in the end with at least one RoL.

Why have it always ended in I dont want to do shield build? Have I missed something and it's underrated in end game?

I think we need some better shields.

Agreed.

The Remgard Combat Shield is really the only option if you don't want to grind for the Black Defender. But this shield comes with a huge consiquince.

Yeah I never get the shield. It's a price I can't make, no matter my build.
