Great! I wouldn't even think of facing hirathils in PD until the hp is past 100. An achievement indeed. It took me almost the same level in PD but died midway before I could reach the lodar's hideout.

PD in the current state of the game is not attractive enough IMO. No greater rewards for the risks of progressing at higher levels. PD plays the same as other modes with the only restriction on saving progress. Simply relying on potions doesn't make PD different either. I have finished the game in unlimited mode by not consuming a single health potion at all.


By principle, I am against using potions to survive in PD mode. Also, AT involves a lot of grinding work. There's no incentive to stay alive in PD for the grinding involved in order to progress in the game.

Overall, PD is perfectly playable but I don't find it attractive at this point. It needs to be more rewarding, offering various incentives to avoid gulping poitions and other design changes to make PD interesting and different.

It's not the extra, it's the challenge and proof of skill.

Often, in PD mode, it's even harder and rewards and equipment get cut down.

I am sorry, but I don't see a challenge in carrying 100 bonemeal potions in my inventory. An insurance scheme to cover the lack of reloading the game?

The real challenge would be to have a separate mode with health potions removed from the game, and a few other design changes specifically for the folks looking for a CHALLENGE!
