Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that the graphic for the insect shells looks amazingly like a bird beak?

I noticed it also and it looks like Fearow's beak in Pokemon

We have a limited set of images at our disposal. Developer first introduced the insect shell way back in the day thought that this was the closest thing to represent it.

They must be shared images, cause I've seen the exact same image set in other games.

The sprites for maps, NPCs, items, etc. were not created by us. They are open to the public, subject to various licensing restrictions (see the authors page for more information). So, yes, they do appear in other games.

Reminds me of the days of clip-art. I had over 200 floppy disks full of clip-art for my desktop publishing business.
