Moving home or getting married. What's more stressful?

Just bought my home and the whole thing took 5 months even though I am a first time buyer and the seller had no onward chain. My opinion is buying a home is the worst how about you guys?

Buying a home is the worst.
I am allergic to paperwork, and buying my home caused me a couple of anaphilactic shocks.

Of course! There are many uncomfortable situations while moving into a new house or getting married but once you are through the formalities and settle, these both may become the best thing of your life. There's no place in world better than your home and no person better than your partner.

The paperwork involved in buying a house is unavoidable, even if you can pay cash (although that does get rid of all the mortgage crap). A wedding is what you make of it. You could just walk into city hall, sign a piece of paper, and you are done. Or you could have some massive event with hundreds of guests, etc. etc.

Depending on local laws, if you decide you made the wrong choice then getting rid of a house can be a lot easier than getting rid of a partner.

Anyways... moved in Friday gone and the guy who sold it was burning mattresses in the garden the night before and loads of rubbish, so now I have a massive black scorch mark and ash all over the garden. Why would you do that? If he hadn't burned them I could've chucked em on my lorry and took em down the dump. Neighbours told me they called the fire brigade twice but the couldn't do anything. Should've called the police I say as burning mattresses is illegal in the UK.

I don't know UK law, but if he deteriorated the property before handing the keys, in France, he owes you a partial refund, based on a quote made by a professional to restore it. In your case, a gardener for a new lawn.
