There really isn't. People just have an aversion to a middle aged couple showing affection. If you're not in your 20's and early on in a relationship then, it seems, your affection for each other should not be shared because... ew. It's not until you're older that it becomes socially acceptable again. And more in the "awww" spectrum. Don't talk about sex though. That's not for older people. Ageism at its finest

I used to say that. I was only counting the decades so I wouldn't feel old. But after learning I'm around average age here in the AT forums, I'm OK with expressing my age in years. Everywhere else I only count the decades... though, I'm thinking it might be better if I go by Martian years instead. At least then I'd still be an adult.
