Blackwater Misery

Hi all,

This has come up on a number of threads, so I thought I would start one just for this.

This effect doesn't allow you to pass as a local in Blackwater mountain, so it appears to have no advantages.
It would be nice to know exactly the extent of it's effects: it seems to influence AP and Attack (plus block?), since the weapons it is attached to are otherwise VERY cool.

Are ALL the Misery-cursed items useless as a result? Even if you stack them? I can't see a way to get past the crappy AP hit.

Is there any way in the game yet to cure this? Nothing I've tried yet seems to work.

Blackwater iron sword sells for 1040 gold to the armourer in Prim. Thats a lot of gold when you have 20 of them. The dagger sells for 458. I'm going to save one of the swords. If there is going to be a cure then surely the 50% AC bonus on the sword is way too high.

So far there is No possibility to cure blackwater misery (exzept of unequipping every item inflicting it) in the forum but I wonder wether anyone has ever tried to equip blackwater items together with the ElyR, the name "redeemer" suggests that this sword rescues something, so perhaps ?!
A full explanation of the effects of the active conditions will be added with the new update AFAIK

As stated in some of those other threads: if you equip with all of the backwater misery items, both offensive and defensive, you come out ahead. If you sided with Prim you cannot get (buy?) the defensive items and can only sell the swords and daggers you pick up from drops. But at least you are not being driven crazy by that terrible itch all the time!
