blackwater is good, but be careful, lots of people get stuck there, not enuf pots or too weak, and never get down. have you done the villegard and flagstone prison?

Got my first rols on my newest character. Only 1188 kills to get it. Not my quickest find for it but definently not my worst either lol

Some! Just curious, how did you count your kills? Did the trainers/masters become 2 of your top 5 monsters killed, so they show up in your overview? I can't imagine that the battle log button could bring up that long a list.

I can't answer how Reichmaster knows, but it's not that hard to find in the samegame file, which keeps track of all monsters you have killed. The monsters names are in plain text, and next to them are hex numbers that you can easily convert to decimal. I know that I got my RoLS after a total of only 161 trainers and masters. I was lucky

Not so lucky for the RoL though

And an argument against the reload strategy. Or does the savefile counts reloading too?

I just add em up at my overview

I COULD look through my savegame file but the 2 monsters ended up as 1st and 3rd on my most killed monsters list. 2nd taken by the puppies. Gonna try to go for my 2nd RoLS soon, hope its as easy as the others in the forum said about the second ring

No. If you reload there's really no way to know how many kills it took.

You should be aware that Shadow Regeneration does not stack. That means there are other rings that are almost as good for a second ring (or, depending on what stats you want, better), and you can just buy them.

A second ring is no easier and no harder then the first one. It's a random drop, and probability does not have a memory.
