Title Screen - A little help from the Players?

I like the last one from Ace the most. The frames clutter it up too much. The red text with the shadow against the gray background works well.

How about a leather texture with that same red color? I like the idea of making it look like the cover of an old book.

I like it too... maybe a guilded book?

As I mentioned earlier, I'm not sure about frames. I don't know how Android handles different aspect ratios. It it cuts off part of the image, frames will not work.

A gilded box around the title could work though.
