Right. I believe Cœur meaning core as well as heart, it makes for a better translation of marrow than the literal moelle. How about Souille-au-Coeur, meaning "taints to the core" ?

'Souille-au-Cœur' sounds both poetical and disturbing. The problem of 'Marque-Cœur' is that it can be seen both as something tainting the heart, or the lovely feeling of somebody taking a tender place in your heart and marking it in his way. So, should we go with 'Souille-au-Cœur'?

Another point, I have replaced 'Vers pourris de Kazaul' by 'Vers putrides de Kazaul' (for 'Kazaul rotworms'), sounds nicer and more dangerous than some 'Vers pourris' which can't do much pain as they are… 'pourris' (rotten).

• WordReference as it's one of the best multilingual dictionaries for translating english to french, moreover with its very helpful forums indexed at the end of a word page,
• CRISCO, 'Dictionnaire des synonymes de l'Université de Cæn' (Dictionary of synonyms from University of Cæn), perfect for finding some nicer variant when you can't find the rigth word,
• the TLFi of the CNRTL, perfect for getting a deep and wide view of all current and ancient meanings of a french word.

About Marrowtaint again, I have just discovered that there is also the character named Blackmarrow that is called 'Moelle-Noire' in French. Should-we keep some link between the name of the necklace and the one of this character?

For sure there is, as certified by this sentence from english language files:

We did not (yet) encounter him but he is mentioned by Algrangor in her speech. And I expect that the Marrowtaint has some link with this character, now or in the future.
