Blackwater Iron Sword doesn't add to attack chance?

Hello folks,

I'm confused and hope for your help.

Currently I'm running through the blackwater mountains and found the "Blackwater iron sword" dropped by a killed monster.

If I equip the bw iron sword (attack chance of 50%), my total attack chance does not increase. It stays at 95%, which is my unarmed Attack Chance.
If I equip the "Steel Sword" (with AC: 21%), my total AC increases to 116% (95%+21%).

Now I wonder, do I miss a thing with the blackwater iron sword? Is it a bug?
Why does my AC not increase with the BW iron sword?

I tried to search the forum for this, but couldn't find a thread/post regarding this issue.

PS: I'm playing v0.6.9 with a level 18 character.

This is because of the blackwater misery.

I was just looking around some further more and found (in parallel to your answer) a reply by Hecubah at http://andors.techby2guys.com/viewtopic ... =838#p3415 which mentions similar.

Too bad, that the game doesn't explain the "blackwater misery"...

This will be fixed in the next version.

"blackwater misery" does not stack so you may choose to equip several "blackwater misery"-items to reduce the negative effect.
