Food balancing

With food some foods are over priced and do little to affect you (green apples, carrots, eggs, ect) but some rule the platter.

Bread for its price of 6 gold and an overpowering 10 sustenance compared to mushrooms 2 g for 3s.

Meat for its availabilities (animal part and high drop chance). Still good even with food poisoning.

Cooked perch for its Massive 4x sustenance rate. It's expensive but worth it!

Now, to balance these foods there would have to be price balancing and maybe same extra buffs should be added to the less useful foods.

Maybe there should be for eggs "strength or protein rush". This would have to be a short and non stacking ability for balancing.

Maybe for mead there should be a small chance to be drunken so you do x amount of damage more and decrease your attack chance.

Now maybe I'm getting the purpose of the special potions mixed up with food but bread is op.

Ten hp for 3 gold. The most cost effective consumable.

0.3 gold for 1 hp.

Bread IS op.

I would also like to add something to this.

It would be very nice if there were more than 5 of each food item in stock, causing you to repeatedly sleep to buy more. In contrast Bone meal potions you can buy 50 at a time. It would be nice if food items were increased to at least 10-20.

I agree. You should be able to buy items in bulk instead of one by one or five by five.

My theory is that all of those annoying tools that call themselves "guards" are eating all the rest of the supply. That way they have more energy to constantly get in your way and cause your resting to turn into a maze game.
