Irdegh poison gland

Newer player, trying to complete

the "I have it in me" quest by killing an Irdegh and hopefully receiving a dropped Irdegh poison gland. I have completed the talks with Ulirfendor and given Talion-the priest in Loneford, the other 3 items he needs - vial, animal hair & bones. For the love of all that is holy - I have killed 30 to 40 Venomous Irdegh, Piercing Irdegh and Ancient Irdgeh with no gland drop!

I know it's random but c'mon! I'm going through bonemeal potions like they're Pez candies. HELP!

Just keep trying and one will drop.

One option is to go back to the one on the bridge (the first one you encounter). From the north side of the bridge, attack it and knock down its HP as far as you can without killing it, and flee. Get your HP back up. Save the game. Then kill it. If it doesn't drop one, load the saved game, and kill it. Rinse and repeat. Of course, you don't get many XP with this approach, but you will get a poison gland much faster.

You will have to decide for yourself whether such an approach fits with your game play ethics.

My opinion on rijacksons topic... Efficiency is best. Even when you don't get many rewards.

Efficiency saves time. You only live for so long you know!

Done! Thanks for the help guys, especially from rijackson. Game ethics take a back seat when something gets stupidly hard enough to take over the fun. I like a challenge but at some point you have to be able to move on!

I've killed 10+ of these, and haven't gotten the gland. I'm going to do the savegame trick (didn't think of that -- thanks). The game devs should consider upping the drop chance percentage.

Yes, you can save as many games as you want. I believe that was not always the case, but that would be before I even knew about AT, let alone got involved with it.

OK so I'm on this quest and have never seen a irdegh! I looked up where they are and have no idea how to get there.i didn't think I could even get there! I think I'm fkd now! Please help

Andors Trail Directory can help with the path to the Irdegh .. You can find it under 'useful links' at the top of the forum page. It's not been updated for awhile, but it will show the map to find the Irdeghs.
