Ruby gem represents failure

Is it just me or does the ruby gem item's lightest pixels form a smiley face?

To me it represents failure!

Trying to get farm health potions? Nope you get this instead.

Looking for bones for a quest? Nope you get the smile.

Look closely in the center. You will see light pink pixels which make a smiley face.

Now that I look at it on a a large screen it looks like there are a few pixels missing. How sad. It's missing its lower lip.
