NEW QUEST IDEA (MIKHAILS INJURY)

Hi guys, im back with more crazy ideas !
In a nutshell you recieve news from a messenger sent from your fathers physician basicly saying mikhail has sustained a near fatal snake attack.The physician fears your father has only days to live and requires your help.you must travel back home and see the physician.Once there he tells you your father was bitten by a rare snake and the only way to save him is to kill the snake and retrieve its venom.One you have the venom you must travel to lodars hideaway to ask for lodars help in making a potion to cure your father.Lodar offers to help you but you must gather other items to make the potion first.(mini quest).once you have the items lodar makes the potions to cure your father, you must journey back to your village to give the potions to the physician.
I have a good idea for the storyline including stuff like when you fight the snake theres a good chance of being inflicted with the same virus as your father(EX . CONDITION, venomous snake bite=drains 2HP every round until cured).plus other good ideas too.

When does this messenger come? Triggered by some other quest?
Seems pretty boring to me as I'm so tired of these quest to fetch this and fetch that. I'm tired of the errands.

Maybe it doesn't have to be tied to Lodar, but closer to home, say a bar patron in Fallhaven delivers the news, or perhaps mentions that he heard a rumor and sends you to the Foaming Task tavern for more details. I think that is the name, the one over by vilegard.

Also if you get infected by the snakes venom what if when you use a health potion instead of getting hp it increase how much you lose till the venom is cured? Make it hard!!!
