CAVE OF DEATH! (Never ending Cave idea)
I have had a new idea, "the cave of death". This idea streams from another game I used to play on the blackberry Playbook called "legends of yore" it's a very simple game and 8bit graphics. In that game there are many deep caves ranging from 1-8 layers deeps. But one cave is unlimited (well I've never hit the bottom at 28 layers down). What I'm proposing is somewhere in the map there be a hole in the ground that every one calls the cave of death. The cave would go down any number of layers but the key is, each layer be filled with boss level monsters, such as the first layer would have a large number of the monster/s we face in earlier levels. The deeper we go the harder the bosses. Maybe the final layer would have many hira'zinn beasts. Of course there would be a bed at the entrance to save poor souls who dared enter weak. That is my idea, in short a cave with many layers deep. each layer is only boss level monsters, and the deeper you go the harder they are. (maybe some special effect attacks could be added to the bosses as u get very deep)

That sounds exactly like the hole-in-the-grounlds cave on Outset Island in Zelda Wind Waker.

hmm.. there are many topick and hundreds of post about ideas like this one. (I have started some of those

I give +1 for this idea, but this game is still in progress.. IMO ideas like this one are usefull after this game is completed.... so i give -1 too.
IMO we need to focus on to make this a better game... next goal is 0.8...

A lot of levels would be a lot of work to create unless many were the same map layout. Or maybe a rougelike dungeon in this rougelike game? The levels could auto-generate all content, including the maps. The code for auto-generating maps could be a lot of work, but once done there would be no limit to the number of levels, and therefore the difficulty.
On the plus side, it would give us all something to do between releases.
On the negative side, it would distract the developers from the main part of the game.
For me, the minus outweighs the plus. Just. -0.001.
