The next legendary item

The possibility of another (next) one was brought up at a recent meeting. I figure we already have two weapons and a ring, so I think the next one should be equipment (something besides jewelry). Maybe a pair of boots or a shield. Also since Kazual, the Shadow, and Elythara all already have a legendary item attributed to them, so this one should have some other magical presence within it.

No. If there is to be a legendary helmet, I would prefer to see it more as a defensive-minded item.
What you have here is heavily-sided on the offensive end.

Why not have a quest based legendary item.quick idea you meet some one who wants you to search for some sort of item that is carried by a monster(1in 10,000 drop ratio) take the item back to him where you can choose between 2 styles of shield.attack or defensive.just an idea you!

It's been said many times that L/E items will not be required for any quest progress

Concerning helmet or shield: We have no item yet that reduces opponent's critical chance, have we?

Legendary items will NEVER be required for quest progress.... EVER!!!

Requiring a player to grind for a item with a drop rate of 1 : 10,000 would be cruel. Not all players have to drive to hunt for these items.

+1 for Legendary shield.

%on successful defence to debuff the attacker.

Finding an item on a damaged state and then polishing it is a great concept imo.

Like with the helm of the Dark protector, but the first drop would be random and will triger a new dialogue with a(n) NPC.
