Alchemy and the phalosiphers stone

Ok I wanna write a quest about the stone and with alchemy but before I do I wanna know would the world of AT want this?


Ok the way I see it is you meet a man who doesn't believe in the religion in the world of AT. what he does believe is that if he can find or make the pholasiphers stone that he may find a way to become rich or bring back his lost lover or get the key to everlasting life.

Well we really can't talk about alchemy without talking about the stone saru. The search for creating or finding the stone was what start the whole alchemy movement. This can turn into 2 quest.

Quest 1: search for the stone.
Quest 2: making of the stone.

Both can end in failure or have one a success and the other failure.

Now I'm not saying that I want to add the equivalent exchange part of alchemy to the game (lets face it that would change the whole game and not to mentioned the coding of it) maybe as a reward for helping the alchemist you learn some sort of alchemy or are able to bring the alchemist some items and he makes you different elixirs or something.

I'm begging you right now before this gets out of hand: please, please, please don't get this thread out of control like your last quest idea. I beg you!!!!! Sit down with a pencil and paper and formulate your thoughts and construct the quest story to completion. It's just like school remember? You would not keep going back to your teacher with bits and pieces of your report. You would present her with the completed report. So please do us a favor and do the same thing here.

I plan on typing it up 1st going threw it detail by detail. Right as of now I'm testing the waters. Seeing if this idea would be accepted by the players and oskar. That's what this is all about. I'm not planning weapon's or skill increase just another side storyline

IMO it is way too common "idea"... and the realm of AT is worth of some more of unigue ideas ... .

This is the storyline to Full Metal Alchemist...

Well this idea is evolving in my head as we speak.

I came up with an idea for the stone (even tho saru doesn't like it)

My idea is that once the alchemist gets/makes the stone he grants you the ability to use it only once. He asks weather you want a pholasiphers armor or weapon. Then you can choose what kind of weapon or armor. Once you choose you can't rechoose. I think it be cool. What do you think?
