30% is way to wicked a loss of EXP for any game. Every MMORPG usually goes with 10%, and even that's terrible when you've got to get 3 MIL to next level and lose 1/10th.

I suggest moving this loss down to 15% or 10%... 30% just sucks.

Serves me right for being reckless. It wouldnt be a problem if i remembered to save more often.

Now i try to save at least once every lap around the BWM top area.

I do this even when grinding, as the trainers/masters can take you quickly if you are not paying attention and just trying to fly through. I have lost thousands of exp because of this. You never know when death is just around the corner...

I disagree. Shouldn't matter if it were 90% because it is totally preventable. Once at a very low level I lost about 600XP, when I was a wimp and 600 mattered. Never again! I learned a lesson and now I save very often.

The save option pretty much invalidates any EXP loss, you're right, but at the same time, accidents happen... and a huge EXP loss like that is tremendous, no matter what.

What is even worse than losing many thousands of EXP by not saving, is getting so caught up in the new content that you forget to save more than once or twice and end up dying suddenly after finishing the entire thing. And, with the RoL you were incredibly lucky and got it on your very first trip through the Kazaul cave, but did not know it was a legendary item because you went directly to playing without reading the forums first, and anyway had forgotten you had it by the time you died, so you loaded from your last save (before you got the RoL) and therefore no longer have a RoL. Yes, I was really that stupid! (I assume it is all right to call myself stupid.)
After being extremely unlucky with the RoLS, I was so lucky with the RoL and blew it by failing to save regularly.
And I have even advised others to save early, save often. Sure wish I had remembered to do so!
