Questions about critical hits in v0.6.11

I have a few questions about criticals:

1- What happens if you have a negative critical hit chance (due to equipping many items with critical hit penalties).
Does this have the effect of reducing damage? Or is it just impossible to deal critical damage when your chance is negative?

2- What is the relationship between critical hit skill and critical hit chance? Is it a linear relationship or more complex?

3- How is the effective critical chance calculated, and does it compare critical skill between attacker and defender - so if I decide not to focus on criticals at all will that make it easier for foes to land critical hits on me?

1) You just cannot land critical hit
3) Currently those skills affects only your chance to make criticall hit
