When my stats are needed I'll post 'em, but they aren't needed in this case. Maybe I'll post em eventually when things settle a bit more. Right now the playtesting is more important to me.
Besides, I like my sig too much, If you pay close attention and can figure out what to look for it actually tells more about me than most realize.
And... I still don't see how an extra bit of MAX hp can help you if the effect only lasts one round and only gives you the max hp but doesn't heal you at all. Say you use your round to heal yourself 80 hp to try to fill up to the new max and the mob hits ya for 90? What's the use of that except to waste potions. It still isn't making any sense. I may just be thick, but how can the extra max hp be justified?
I see, you will not let me go before I make a cace explanation, i like your style
And FYI one important thing about the round. In AT round is 6 sec and it is countdown only when you are not in combat. So berserking 1 round last at least until the current combat ends.
So.. There are this boss which typically kill you in a single round becauce it hits you almoust every attack and total damage done in round is something up to 80 points and it is over your current max hp.
You can beat him if you start the fight with boss and some another monster simultaneously. First you kill the monsters using the sword of the shadow rage, now you got the "Minor berserkes rage" and thanks for the cleave you are back in 12 AP. Next step are unequip the sword, use +40hp potions andnos you have over 80 current hp and you still can make one barehanded attack. You now have more hp and the boss monster cannot kill you in single round. In every following rounds you can heal yourself +80hp and attack...and the berserking last over the battle...
things like cleave, speed potions & bonuses to attack all make strategies like this even more effective...
especially when such small numbers have such a big impact in combat.

Thanks for the explanation, Sarumar.
That is one crazy way to kill something, lol, but I get your point now. Personally, if there is a mob that kills me in one hit I figure it's too early for me to be fighting it, leave, and beef myself up with levels, etc., till I can kill it.
We just have different playstyles. I'm the sneaky sort who trains till things are easier then stabs a creature in the back, and you like livin' on the edge.

No prob,
There are seweral "hard score" strategies in AT like this one. Personally I like to build shiva like characters.
