So I have already mentioned that I am from the Dallas area in Texas, USA.
The Dallas Mavericks are the NBA team for Dallas and are in the Western Conference Finals.
We put down the Oklahoma Thunder last night and lead the best of 7 series 1-0 under the leadership of German basketball player Dirk Nowitzki.
Side note: I am rooting for Chicago to dismantle the Heat tonight!

While I am not a huge sports fan, I do follow post-season play by any of the Chicago teams. (Of course, that does not usually require much effort, considering the Chicago teams.) Who but the Blackhawks would let the goalie responsible for the Olympic hockey gold medal go to another team the next season? Anyway, ScorpionZ, the Bulls blew it last night here at home. Hope they can beat the Heat at least one of the Miami games and go on to win it here. Of course, I realize you are rooting for the Bulls over the Heat because you think your Maverick will have an easier time against them, but don't be too sure of that. We'll see--if both our teams win their current rounds. Sure looks like I won't have to worry about any post-season play for my White Sox this year.

I'll be watching the Bulls tonight to see them take game three.
I have mixed feelings about who should win the Bulls/Heat game. I want the Bulls to win just to shut up the Heat. I also kinda want the Heat to win so we can have a rematch. We played them in the NBA Finals in 2006 (I think) and lost in a series believed by many to be fixed by the refereeing team. A little part of me does think that the Bulls might be easier that the Heat (not by much, I assure you).

As a huge sports fan, I can totally identify with going over the various scenarios of the postseason. Not really into basketball, but the other 3 of the "big 4," especially hockey -- so to the Chi-town bunch, I have to say that the Blackhawks really made a great series to watch! I was glad they pushed it to a Game 7, even if they didn't beat Vancouver. Can't have the defending champs going down without a fight!
