i want a huge desert wasteland that is a total pain in the neck,
that everyone knows not to wander through...

if they are foolish enough to try,
they bring thousands of bonemeal potions...
and save ten times, and back up twice.

[so they have something to fall back on when they are forever lost in the desert]
(out of supplies, frustrated by mirages blocked by enemies you shouldn't even challege)
but you have to attack, because your supplies are exhausted and you thought you could make it in one trip!

you barely fight through multiple enemies to get to a "bed*" that you cant rest in

*not a bed, but something of an oasis that you'd expect to possibly heal you

maybe some of them are real, and DO replenish your HP...
so you are surprised when the mirage oasis doesn't react to you standing on it

If you're serious, bring it up in the meeting. I have some coding shortcut suggestions to easily achieve this effect without effecting any set map size. The "40 years" quest.

we need more puzzles like...

I can see this in my head:

A huge expansive barren land littered with cacti and giant reptiles, maybe the occasional ruin that you can go in and explore (if you can manage to find it in the huge dessert) maybe some of the ruins would be short dead ends due to cave ins and some might be huge labyrinths of passageways with huge mythological beasts guarding long forgotten treasures which used to be worshiped by tribes long lost to the dessert sands.

LOVE THIS! Expecially for high level players to explore. Let's get the ball rolling on this one in the next meeting! I really love this idea!

Anyway, idea on the desert thing...
Would be cool to have 2x3 and 3x3 creatures. It would be easy to have them if the area was mostly desert and dunes. You could even have 4x3 giant scorpion bosses or skeletal dragons!

Just a nutty idea.

There are Tiles for monsters that take up 2-4 spaces. I'm looking forward to seeing them in game eventually. Gonna get scary!
