NoFG benefits.

The NoFG is an amazing item - no question! I have wondered if it might be beneficial in another scenario. At times, I am unfortunately accosted on the road, and certain demands are made upon me, to relinquish some of my hard-won items. I would prefer not to, though fighting is not an option.
I notice that, when accosted, I have just enough time to switch my gear if I choose, and I have put on the NoFG in hopes of some relief. It currently does not.
I figured that the NoFG carried some prestige of its own, and that when its "affiliates" surround me, upon seeing it, they just go away, and assume I am on some official business. They might even give me what they have "collected" thus far, making this an even greater incentive to work towards gaining the NoFG.

True followers of Feygard don't use bonemeal, period.

Just because I have it doesn't mean I have ever used it. Consider a quest that might require it's trade, sale or gifting. Buying and selling it doesn't mean it is being used.
Or, consider the character that doesn't "use" any item
(The stats keep us honest).

Bonewheel is illegal. Stay away from it and you will be in the good graces of the fabulous city.
Sorry Mr police officer. I was just carrying it for somebody else.
No sir, I do not believe you. You're going to prison

Fine. But everytime they frisked me they missed the NoFG. Hmmm. They collect something (relatively common) and continously miss that I am in possession of this absolutely extraordinary item, one of notable prestige.
What might happen if ever they actually find this thing?

Why did they miss the necklace? They don't care about the necklace.
I don't understand why you think they care about the necklace.
It's just an item that they give to their best. It's not unique to them.

The guards are just doing their job by searching you and confiscating the bonemeal. They don't care much about any tinsel decorations you might have received from those Feygard bureaucrats who keep sending them out into the cold and wet for pointless missions, when they could be drinking in a warm tavern with their mates.

"A Feyguardian solder's medal of honor. To posses is to honor the glorious city of Feygard."
If this is true, those Feyguard guards might give deference to someone wearing it in some manner. Maybe not. Perhaps they'll just arrest the possesor for "Stolen Valor."

Think of the necklace as a purple heart or other military honor.
