Hi all,
Played this game a couple of years ago. I was able to get all the legendary items by saving the game, kill the monsters that dropped the legendary items. If they didn't drop, I'd just reload the saved game and do it over and over until the item drops. Just wanted to ask if that strategy still works? Don't really have the patience to wait for the monster to respawn to do it that way.

Not only does it work, that's the only reasonably viable method to acquire most of them.

Sometimes blind luck works. I got a RoLS that way (less than 200 kills), and GoW. I got Shadowfang too, but that was in a test version, so I didn't get to keep it I got RoL the hard way, by killing and allowing the monsters to respawn, but I don't recommend this. Aside from the time, I ended up OP for everything in the game, and spent the next many releases deliberately avoiding killing monsters to get back to something reasonable again (if you can call level 75 reasonable).

I didn't discover any of the legendary items until I completed the game, that was Sullgengard at the time. That was when I did the "save, kill, reload" method until the legendary items dropped. In between search for the legendary items, I leveled up to probably level 120 or 130 with about 10-13 extra skills points never used. It was a weapon (Olwyn's Curse) and shield (GuynMart) build. Armor (Serpent's Hauberk), Boots (Boots of Globetrotters), Gloves (Enchanted Remgard Gloves), Necklace (Ortholion's Talisman), Rings (Ring of the Protector and RoLS). No monsters could touch me, probably more so because of my level and less of the items, but I still ran through all monsters with one or two attacks. The best place to do runs for exp, gold, and item drops to sell was the cave before Lodar. Those Hirathil runs gave me about 100k exp round trip. But that saved file is gone, so I have to start all over. I was playing Ratdom with that character, but wasn't able to get that sword out of the wall, not even sure if I can use it or if it's just a collector's items.
Well, I'm about half way through the game and been trying to get RoLS for the last few days, only been playing about an hour a day or so, so not much work being put into the search for it.

Took a few days but finally got it.
