Too much dual wielders

Hi, forum
I just got back playing AT, maybe 5 years ago. I played randomly, didn't know about IF, just full happy go lucky just to feel the game.
So, gonna try and play again, and would like to see some guide for early-late game builds.
Currently using Skullcrusher, and I don't see much players using late game two-handed builds. Everyone is using dual-wielding, dagger and light armor builds.

I'm not saying it's not bad, but is it too OP to miss out?
Should I change my build?

Don't believe everything to be true only because they all seem to do it.
E.g. I prefer the Shadow of the Slayer and the Taunt skill early. And certainly there are other good builds being used.
Use the things that you like - and be it only for their cool name, like skull crusher 8-)

Thanks for this, just used my skill points for two-handed. I don't mind not going with flow like others. No disrespect for dual-wielders.
Also, where can I find the penalties and positive effects in using heavy and light armors. Can't seem to find them. Thanks

We rebalanced the combat system and added new items, and many of the posts here predate that. So don't believe them all. Early on, I find sword and shield to be as good as anything. You can't get the really good two-handers yet, and you can't get the benefits of dual wielding without the skills. Later on either build works. Dual wielding light weapons is generally better if you are being mobbed, two-handed is generally better against big brutes. So take your pick.
