You can. He is rather strong, so allying is easier. And there are no real consequences
at the moment - there will be someday in a future release

If you're Feyguard-aligned, you should definitely attack Buceth, because he's deeply evil.

IMO, if you're Shadow-aligned, this is a genuine moral crisis — are you a Shadow supporter (you believe in freedom to worship, but don't approve of what he did), or a Shadow fanatic (innocent lives mean nothing compared to promoting the Shadow)?

We'll see how the game develops. :)

BTW, he's easy to kill. because ...
... he doesn't move, so you can just do hit-and-run at leisure, healing fully between attacks as necessary.
