World map question

So I noticed that in this latest update that if a map is deleted for whatever reason, it gets recreated upon loading a save file, so does that mean that when I switch from one phone to another and transfer my save file on that new phone, I wont have to re visit all of the maps I've already been to individually?

Yes . You better import the savegames from the transfer files, that works much quicker. (Could be several minutes on first start, if all worldmap files have to be regeneratwd)

So the game gets the map data from the save file now?

To be exact when you load a savegame, the map data are taken from the folder Worldmap.
If some referenced map is missing in the folder Worldmap, then it will be regenerated automatically.
This takes a while on first start, so it might be quicker for you to import both, the savegames and the worldmap.

I mean the map metadata has always come from the save file.
In other words, the save file has always been the source of determining whether you have visited the map or not.
It's how we distinguish or differentiate your different saves in determining which world map belongs to which save

Okay, I only ask because the world map has too many files to save to my Google drive lol
