After you've killed them all, look at the world map if you still see fog then you haven't killed them all

current state, it shows the state you were there last time

That's What I mean. After you've killed them, the map gets updated. So you can view the world map and if there's still fog there, that means you haven't been to that map yet to kill the monster

Sorry, that's wrong. The worldmap always shows the state when you was there last time. The map could have changed in the meantime, but the worldmap wouldn't show the changes.

Sorry but you're not understanding me. I've already done this. It works perfectly fine.
You kill one of those creatures and the fog goes away. Then you save or whatever you don't even have to save. Look at the world map and the fog for the map that you're on is gone.
That shows you that there's monsters on the other maps where the fog is.

Do foggerlumps respawn (slowly)? If so, then yes, the map might not be dependable if enough time has elapsed.
