This is not a bug in Andor's Trail, since it has nothing to do with you. But I figured I would report it anyways (in the miscellaneous category, since it is not a bug).
I used to use F-Droid, but I now know that they are behind in regards to security issues (https://privsec.dev/posts/android/f-dro ... ty-issues/). I do not know if these security issues matter in practice, since I am not aware of any instances of malware ever appearing on the F-Droid store. Nevertheless, I am now using Obtainium to get apks from github instead of using the F-Droid store (https://obtainium.imranr.dev/).
If I try using Obtainium to obtain Andor's Trail from https://github.com/AndorsTrailRelease/andors-trail, it will not download v0.8.11. If and only if the fallback to older releases option is used (which is enabled by default), it will allow me to download v0.8.10. Otherwise, it tells me that it cannot find a suitable release. Could it be because the release to 0.8.11 is not just titled with a version number but also with the words "Lake Laeroth"? Or could it be for some other reason? Of course, there is no way for you to know, since you do not run Obtainium or support it as a distribution method. However, I figured I would let you know about the issue anyways.
Also, if I try to download f-droid on your server, using the link above, it still links to version 0.8.9. I can still download it from your server by changing the link from static/AndorsTrail_v0.8.9.apk to static/AndorsTrail_v0.8.11.apk . But the link on the front page is outdated. I figured I would alert you to this as well.

I'll check.
You may also trust Google play, itch, or our server. These are exactly the same version including the same certificate. Only f-droid provides a different certificate, because they create the apk themselves.
It is your choice whom you trust - if you have once decided for yourself, updates will check, that it's the same certificate.
Btw. the sources are not entirely the same: F-droid uses the tagged sources from git, we compress the content files before building the apk. These compressed content files are never pushed to master branch though.

I had indeed forgotten to upload the apk to github.
Now it's available: https://github.com/AndorsTrailRelease/a ... l/releases
Thx for reporting!

Did you upload the correct one to github or a beta version? I am playing it, and I am unaccustomed to seeing to many spelling/grammatical errors in an Andor's Trail release. I wonder if this was an earlier version. I am attaching screenshots of examples that I discovered, which I put in a zip file.

Can you please not bother with the zip files and just post them?
I'm really lazy. I don't want to deal with the zip files, especially on an Android device

Sure, I posted a zip because I think the forum only allows 3 attachments? I have seven.

These things you are calling out are scattered across three different versions
