Assassin or diplomat?

If you side with Prim there are two options to resolve the initial dilemma. I am curious to hear what others did.

As far as i know, you can only do the additional quest with the shrine near the Prim settlement when you sided up with the Blackwater settlement.
For myself i didn´t kill the Leader in Prim and did not get any valuable item in return
... BUT WAIT! The "King" said something about relatives in FEygard when he left of. Maybe there actualy is an upcoming reward for us diplomats

I thought the relatives were mentioned by the guy who asked you to return the dagger to the tomb? However, it may be the case if you let the king live he may appear later on in another settlement and offer a suitable reward for sparing his life, say the said ring I mentioned earlier?
