Researching the BOP Tablets

I have been doing a little research about these prison tablets. I figure it might be useful to have a thread to research and discuss them.

This article, seemingly written as propaganda in support of the prison’s policies, mentions Andor’s Trail explicitly- https://prisonjournalismproject.org/202 ... feel-free/ .

This article claims that a Keefe Score 7 tablet costs 2 months salary- https://prisonjournalismproject.org/202 ... t-options/ .

This discusses the score tablet product- https://www.keefegroup.com/products/score-tablet/ .

This reddit post discusses the Keefe tablets- https://www.reddit.com/r/firststepact/c ... ?rdt=64260. In the comments, a user claims to have jailbroken their Keefe score 7c tablet and elaborates on the procedure to do this. However, another user claims that the score 7 tablet, as opposed to the score 7c tablet, is not able to be jailbroken, at least not in this way. The reddit post is over a year old, so it is possible that they patched this software exploit.

What else do we know about them? Could they be jailbroken by prisoners in order to play our uncensored version of Andor’s Trail, as opposed to their modified version?

This is out of our control and it is my opinion that we should not spend any more time on this.

You may recall that I was the first person to mention the BOP having tablets with Andor's Trail available for purchase. So let me add to this. This tablet is a complete waste of money for me. I actually haven't even turned mine on in over 3 months. If the BOP updates out version of Andor's Trail, I will finally cut it back on. I've been in federal prison for I've 19 years with just over 3 years to go and I would love to have my money back for this thing. It has done nothing but make inmates dumber and even more lazy than they already are. Which isn't saying much. No, they can not be rooted as there is nothing but bare bones operating system with NSA level encryption. I agree that no more time should be wasted talking about BOP tablets and out watered down version of Andor's Trail.
